MEET JODY SOMERS
Chef • Cheesemaker • Farmer • Storyteller
For over 25 years, I owned and operated Dancing Ewe Farm,
a 50-acre sheep dairy and artisanal cheese farm in upstate New York. I raised sheep, made pecorino and ricotta with Old-World way techniques, and supplied restaurants such top NYC restaurants such as Per Sé, Daniel, Felidia, Del Posto, Babbo and some of Italy’s most respected chefs and wine producers.
Cheese-making led me to Italy’s wine regions, farmers, and families. I learned not just the techniques, but the stories — the land, the culture, and the traditions behind each flavor.
These voyages bring everything I love into one beautiful experience: quiet moments, good food, honest storytelling, and the magic of Biscayne Bay.
